Craft Worker - Carpentry (An Daingean Fishery Harbour Centre. Application details/procedure: The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine invites applications for the position of Craft Worker (Carpentry) based in its Fishery Harbour Centre in An Daingean County Kerry. The Craft Worker may be required to carry out maintenance and repairs to piers, slipways, etc. at the Fishery Harbour Centre and in other locations as directed by the Department’s Marine Engineering Division. In addition to the essential carpentry role, the successful candidate will be expected to undertake a variety of general construction and repair duties, which require a range of skills. The principal skills required will be those relevant to constructing formwork associated with concrete pours, the placing of the concrete as well as the finishing of the concrete surface, first and second fixing, as well as roofing work.
