This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Automation Engineer to take part in developing a complete control system for a new production facility. Working with an innovative company as they ramp up the extension to their new production facility you`ll be operating in a Biotech/GMP environment. About the Role: Develop industrial supervisory control system for new production lines on SCADA platform. Develop PLC programmes to control all equipment installed on site. Liaise with Engineering and production teams to develop complete solutions. Support project commissioning activities. Testing of panels and I/O testing. Provides advanced level of technical and automation support to production. About You: Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or other relevant third level qualification. PLC automation using Siemens S5 & S7 PLS’s. Expert in the use of SCADA packages – in Touch & WinCC. Control methodologies such as closed loop control, PID control. Working knowledge of various field-bus protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet. HMI / GUI design. Experience of how to formally specify, design, and document automation projects. SCADA link to sequel server 2010 and sequel server integration services. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. Will have worked on the installation of process plant/equipment. Ideally experience in the food, pharma, process industry sectors.
