We are seeking a part-qualified Financial Accountant for our client a manufacturing facility based in Killarney. The successful candidate will be part-qualified - ACA, ACCA or CIMA with multi-national monthly reporting experience within a manufacturing environment. Working within a small team the Financial Accountant will also support some Accounts Payable activity. The role of the Financial Accountant will be to co-ordinate month end reporting process to Corporate including review and load of financial statements and supplementary schedules. Responsibilities also include balance sheet reconciliations, Accounts Payable function management and Bank account control. Recommend, initiate, drive and document process improvement projects with a continuous view to increase the efficiency of the function. Principle duties and responsibilities: Monthly financial reporting to Corporate - HFM Load etc. Bank Account management. Account Payable management including: - Supplier invoice processing. - Liaise with supply chain to clear invoice queries. - Generation of payment runs. - AP Ledger control and reconciliation to GL. Control account reconciliations (Bank, Payables, Receivables. Assisting the Financial Controller with ad hoc projects. Other duties as required. Candidate skills: Resilient under pressure and able to quickly adapt to unforeseen work demands. Ability to develop and progress new ideas. Proactive and the ability to work on own initiative. Strong analytical / problem solving skills, time management skills. Knowledge of and exposure to US GAAP an advantage. Experience within a manufacturing environment.
