Description

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable clerk for a maternity contract beginning in October for a manufacturing client in the Killarney area. The contact will run for the beginning of October to end of June 2019. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will work with the finance team fulfilling accounts receivable duties and to ensure accuracy, completeness and timely processing of all related transactions in the accounts receivable section in accordance with company procedures. Principles duties and responsibilities: Implementing credit control policy and procedures. Maintain and improve the aging profile of the accounts receivable ledger. Applying receipts, work closely with other functions to resolve invoice queries, customer collections. Responsible for preparing and sending customer correspondence e.g. reminder letters, customer statements, copy of invoices. Deal with customer account queries. Research and resolve customer payment discrepancies. Database management and database entry. General maintenance of the accounts receivable ledger, including matching invoices, credit notes and writing off irrecoverable balances. Provide analysis of accounts receivable activity / financial data. Reconciliation of key General Ledger Accounts including bank reconciliation. Payroll administration as required to include: Collating and arranging sign off for weekly timesheets for all hourly paid employees as required. Submitting payroll hours to Shared Services for payroll processing. Review of trial payroll reports. Payroll analysis reporting. Other duties as may be assigned. Experience and skills: Experience in a similar role with a good working knowledge of general accounting principles / practices and systems. Educational background in accounting or finance. High level of IT literacy. Financial and commercial awareness. Resilient under pressure and able to quickly adapt to unforeseen work demands. Proactive and the ability to work on own initiative. Strong analytical / problem solving skills, time management skills. Confident communicator, good interpersonal skills.
