Beautiful 4 Star Kerry Hotel looking for an experienced Bar Manager. We are recruiting for an experienced Bar Manager position for a 4* Hotel in Co. Kerry that is very popular with locals and tourists. The bar is beautifully designed and caters for food and drink from 10.30 am daily to close We require a Bar Manager that has strong hands on management to guide and manage a large bar team. This is a `hands on role`, that will involve late shifts & weekends. Previous experience in 4* Star Hotels is preferred. Seeking a hands on Manager that has great personality and be a face to the place. Main Duties: o Responsible for the smooth running of the Bar`s Department in line with company standards of Procedures, predetermined budgets and all relevant legislation. o Training & Development of the Bar Team using relevant techniques and ensuring all training is documented. o Employee Relations & Performance Management of the Bar Team with the assistance of the HR Department. o To be aware of the day`s business in all Departments within the Hotel. o Management of the departments staffing levels/holidays in line with departmental budgets. o Supervise the activities of all Bar team to ensure all team members are aware of their responsibilities and are performing all duties to a consistently high standard. o The Management of all stock levels within the Department in line with Departmental Budgets. o Management of cash handling procedures of department in accordance with company policy. o To communicate services and facilities to guests as required. o To be aware and ensure compliance with all company policy`s regarding: Fire, Health & Safety, Hygiene, Food Hygiene, and Customer Care & Security. o To read, understand and comply with your responsibilities/Management of your team`s as defined in the Health & Safety Statement and Staff Handbook. o To liaise with all other Heads of Departments and Duty Managers to ensure high quality of service is achieved at all times. o To work in conjunction with the General Manager & Deputy General Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department and overall Business. o Experience in sock control, keg management, wastage recording. o Duty Manager shifts as required. o Attendance at all Operational Meetings.
