IT Graduate Degree or Masters, other qualifications considered depending on experience. 3 – 6 years in a Technical operations support function or systems administration role. 1 – 2 years database experience specifically Oracle, Postgres and Mysql. 1 – 2 years Linux / Unix experience. Knowledge of all or some of the following is a distinct advantage: o shell scripting. o Networking/Firewalls. o Java, Python. Experience with service Monitoring Tools. Experience working in a Production environment across global time zones. Experience working in a 24/7 environment a distinct advantage. COMPETENCIES REQUIRED. Customer driven individual with desire to exceed expectations. Good communication skills both written and oral. The candidate should work well both independently as well as contributing towards a team environment. Good troubleshooting skills to help diagnose and eliminate problems. Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to a changing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Support our transactional processing and switch processing production and test environments. Respond to Technical operation tickets raised ensuring clear, concise & full solutions are provided on each ticket and the tickets are processed within the agreed SLAs. Work on own initiative ensuring tickets are prioritised accordingly to reflect the severity of the incident and are responded to accordingly. Support the Back office infrastructure on Linux operating systems, ensuring that customer and partner files are uploaded and processed successfully. Support all database centric applications. Monitor daily job schedules and ensure all processes run successfully and services are available. Maintain good relationships with FMS's customers and partner organisations. Support all services offered to both internal and external customers. Investigate transaction rejections from various acquirers and respond accordingly. Support Data Analysis and adhoc reports.
