Food Retail Production Chef Co. Kerry. We are seeking a Production Chef for a well-known food brand in Co. Kerry. This unit operates 6/7 days between 5.00 am to 13/14.00 Hrs - No Sunday Work. You are producing high standard savoury meals for food retail outlets that will encompass, cooking from SOP menus, cooling, packaging, etc. Mainly covering savoury products such as Dinners, Lunches, Vol au Vents Lasagne, Pasta, Stews, and Curries etc. Key Responsibilities. " Deliver the menu ensuring timely preparation and high standard quality product. " Oversee the kitchen area that involves cooking, cooling, labelling and cleaning. " Support preparation of menus, stock management & ordering, and preparation of food in line with customer needs. " Preparation of speciality foods in line with menu planning and specific culinary skills. " Application and adherence to Food Safety Standards in line with menu SOP's. Allergens & Food Labelling. " Support the client with any special requests. " Application of Safe working in line with H&S and Safety Legislation. Qualifications & Experience. " Qualified chef with 5 years' experience. " Minimum of Senior CDP or Sous Chef Level. " Must have Chef/Culinary qualification. " Experience in retail/production/volume operation is preferred. " Full knowledge of Allergens and Food Labelling in accordance with FSAI is essential. " Experience in a similar role as a production or banqueting chef is preferred. " Working to agreed SOP's for consistency of product. " Have the flair and creativity to introduce new dishes and standards. " Must be able to commit to very early starts consistently. Competencies. Wide range of culinary techniques including varied cooking styles. Experience with special diets (Modified diets, low sugar, low salt etc.) a plus. Previous retail production and thorough knowledge of SOP's, Allergens, Food Labelling and consistency, Flexible, adaptable, open to new ideas and personal development. Takes pride in their work and has high attention to detail. Must have own car due to location of unit which is on the Kerry/Cork Border. Apply. Salary range approx. up to €32,000 DOE.
