We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our team here at The Malton Hotel. Key Responsibilities: To contribute to the production of food in accordance with instructions from the Executive Head Chef/Sous Chef. To ensure that all dishes reach the hot plate or passe correctly garnished and the correct portion and size, presented on the prescribed serving dish in the prescribed manner. To ensure that your section is being kept clean and tidy at all times. To ensure HACCP compliance within the kitchen. To ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to the Sous Chef or Executive Head Chef. To ensure that all stocks are kept under optimum conditions. To ensure that all statutory, as well as company, hygiene regulations are being strictly adhered to. Produce high quality dishes that follow up the established menu and level up to the hotels standards, as well as to clients’ requirements. Make sure the hygiene and food safety standards are met in all stages of food preparation, starting with the ingredients and ending with the finished dish which leaves the kitchen. The successful candidate will have: 2-3 years experience as a Chef de Partie. Extensive Knowledge of good food handling, food standards and presentation. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Passion for food. Knowledge of HACCP. Be focused on providing consistently high standards.
