This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced automation engineer to take part in developing a complete control system for our new production facility. This is initially a6 to 9 month contract, with the potential for to become a full time position. Working with an innovative company as they ramp up the extension to their new production facility you`ll be operating in a Biotech/GMP environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Integrate new production line control system with existing SCADA system. Liaise with Engineering and production teams to develop complete solutions. Good Knowledge of GMP+ principles will be required. Support project commissioning activities. Create electrical drawings of panels and I/O testing. Create and modify P&IDs. Provides advanced level of technical and automation support to production. Create and modify 3D model and 2D drawings of tanks and factory. Essential Requirements. Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or other relevant third level qualification. PLC automation using Siemens S7-1500 PLCs. Expert in the use of SCADA packages. WinCC - Control methodologies such as closed loop control, PID control. Working knowledge of various field-bus protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet. HMI / GUI design. Experience of how to formally specify, design, and document automation projects. SCADA link to SQL server 2010 and SQL server integration services. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks. Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. Will have worked on the installation of process plant/equipment.
